Maxxspeed The Garuda Longboard Skateboard Deck
The Garuda is a go-to downhill board. It’s a trustworthy and reliable contender for any hill, whether it’s racing at top speed or sliding down your favorite canyon, the Garuda is designed to handle it all. Most notably, this deck features our folded rocker design because we wanted serious concave and deep rocker in one board.
The “waves/folds” along the rails de-stress the wood, allowing the two elements to coexist on one deck. We chose to forgo any wheel cutouts to achieve maximum input and control over your trucks, and so we added large wheel wells to minimize issues with wheelbite.
Rear W-concave provides a sense of directional when downhilling or pushing out toesides, but the symmetrical platform allows for total control over switch maneuvers as well. Furthermore, there are a total of 5 different wheelbase options, allowing most people to find their perfect setup.
Relief Bends Relieve yourself with the knowledge that this board features our folded rocker design, which uses relief bends to reduce the structural interference that traditional rocker causes. Wood doesn’t like bending away from a plane in two directions at once. You could beef up your press hydraulics and tell the wood to stuff it, or you can harness the power of synergy and do what keeps everyone happy. Concave and Rocker Our aggressive tub concave is meant to keep your footing secure while you’re doing some silly sideways stuff. It’s also a strong reassurance for when you’re hauling down the canyon roads. Rocker cradles your stance and makes going sideways a more entertaining experience, but our team riders also appreciate the feel it provides for staying in tuck on downhill runs.
