Pantheon Gaia Longboard Skateboard Deck
Behold, the 2015 Gaia has arrived! We took a year's worth of feedback on the old Gaia, combined our opinions with those of the #pantheontribe and tada, we have a fresh new whip for 2015. The 2015 Gaia is very similar to the old one with some minor but important changes that make the deck significantly more versatile for all-around riding.
The new specs are listed in the pictures. Take a look. We added a touch more concave, increased the drop by a couple hundredths of an inch (it's now 0.15"), chopped an inch off the length, increased the width at the nose and added a little bit of taper. We also increased the pop on the tail. To make that pop really worth something, we had to chop off a little bit of the wheelbase options and start the tail earlier, so this board maxes out at a 25-inch wheelbase. For some, that means this will not be their primary downhill deck. For others, that's right in your wheelhouse. For me, this is a solid board up to about 50mph that I can freeride on and ride equally as comfortable between the trucks or surfing off the back end. I can't do a blunt slide, but this fat tail is giving me a solid reason to feel like I probably will be able to soon.
